No, we are not. Although we have been asked this question many times we haven't traced our genealogy to the same family tree. We used to work at the same paint store as color specialists and customers would get us mixed up all the time.

We met in design school sharing many late nights in the studio working on projects and prepping for design critiques. The pivotal moment of our friendship came on a day where we were both anxiously awaiting to hear back on internships in New York City. We received our internships offers within minutes of each other and instantly began planning our summer in NYC.

We came up with our name late one night while brainstorming. We wanted a name that captured our design philosophy while still being fresh and unique.

We are always looking for new inspiration and new sources. We are so passionate about the world of design and the projects going on around us. We keep up on all the big name designers and see whats coming out in the press. We both especially love the simplicity and the charm of the magazine "House Beautiful" - it is definitely a favorite!
