We are so excited about Opal Never Shouts! We live, eat, and breathe design all day, every day. We are design geeks through and through. We are the girls that walk down the street thinking “Wow! They sure have beautiful gridded windows on their home,” or “What were they thinking when they painted their siding that awful shade of salmon pink?”

We met in design school while spending many late nights and long days working on design projects. It was a Spring day when, within minutes of each other, we found out that both of us had been hired for Summer internships in New York City. We immediatly began planning our summer together in the big city. We found a quaint brownstone apartment in Harlem that had zero furniture. We spent our summer sleeping on air mattresses and eating dinner sitting in the window sill. It was the foundation for a lifelong friendship.

We now are busy creating and designing spaces of our own and constantly learning and being inspired by design. Jen is married to Clay and Jana is married to Kyle. You will probably see the boys a time or two around here as they have been sucked into the world of design, and are usually so great to come along with us on our design adventures.

JANA ROMNEY

As a little girl Jana got to pick the wallpaper for her bedroom and she knew she was going to be an Interior Designer when she grew up. Well, Jana is an Interior Designer, but grown up? Sometimes people ask her if she should be in school? Or ask if her husband Kyle is her older brother.

JEN ADAIR

Jen has had a passion for design since she was a little girl. She would stay up late at night and rearrange her bedroom furniture all the time while trying to be quiet and push around heavy furniture with her legs. And you know what? She hasn't outgrown it! She still loves to rearrange the furniture.
